Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Isolate is a ready-to-mix protein powder based on whey protein isolate and hydrolysed whey protein isolate – according to the label, the isolate blend makes up 94–95% of the powder. Whey protein isolate is a milk-derived whey protein from which, according to the manufacturer, most of the fat and lactose has been removed by additional filtration. As a result, the isolate contains more protein and less fat and carbohydrate than regular whey protein concentrate. The powder is sweetened with sucralose and is available in chocolate, strawberry and vanilla flavours. The product belongs to the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard range, which also includes Gold Standard 100% Whey and Gold Standard 100% Casein.

Nutrition per serving

According to the EU label, one serving (30 g, about one scoop) provides 25 g of protein and 108–111 kcal. A serving contains only 0.4 g of fat, 1.2–1.7 g of carbohydrate and 0.3 g of sugars. In all flavours, 100 g of powder contains 83 g of protein. According to the manufacturer, a serving naturally contains 5.5 g of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) and 4.3 g of glutamine and glutamic acid. One 930 g pack contains 31 servings.
